I've built two pygmy's in the last year, I overlaped the glass on both kayaks by 3 1/2". I also overlaped the shear by 1 1/4" after rounding it off about 1/4" so the glass would lay flat. I also made the syringe and stick for filling the inside shear 4 1/2' long to reach the ends, the fillet's are very strong and not that hard to do. With a little sanding and filling the overlaps dissapeared. The boats are clear varnished, no need for striping to hide bad seams. When wetting out the glass be sure you use enough epoxy to compleatly soak the glass, otherwise you'll get some discoloration. GOOD LUCK AND BLUE WATERS!
