I got to paddle Nick's night herron for a couple of hours at the rendezvous (Sunday morning paddle).

My comparisons are relative to my Expedition Single.

I would build the Night Herron for performance reasons. It is a long narrow boat. One foot longer than the Guillemot and a foot shorter than the Ex. Single and an inch narrower than both. I would say that the Night Herron is as fast as the Ex. Single under normal paddling but much more responsive to agressive inputs for fooling around and yet still tracks very well.

If you are thinking of building this boat then it's time to put your thoughts into actions. You won't be disappointed.
