Well, it's time to stop borrowing and start building my own kayak! But first, I need to deside which model to order.
I've noticed that several people on this bulletin board have built CLC boats. For those who have paddled the Chesapeake, what is the difference between the Chesapeake and the Ches LT?
The catalog mentions the LT has a lower freeboard, but the hull is essentially a Chesapeake. Just how much smaller is the volume? I'm 6' 200#, will me and my size 12 foot still fit inside? Is it more manuverable and resistant to weathercocking?
Most of my paddling will be on large windy rivers and bays, mainly day and weekend trips.
Thanks for the Help, Dave
