Hey Martin, that really neat tool you are talking about is called Lock wire pliers. It is used in the motorcycle and aircraft industries for twisting saftey wire. You can get them at Princes Auto, Schucks , Al's ect...or any usally any motorcycle shop that handles dirt bikes.Usually they sell for about $20.00 USD. , and they work like a charm! A few guys I know also have been using nylon cable ties instead of wire, and find it alot easier. I haven't tried it myself yet so I can't give you any first hand exp. The only thing that I can see, is the hole for the tie would have to be larger to fit the ties vs wire other than that no twisting would be needed. This would make it alot faster I would think, anyhow good luck with your Yak!
