At one time I saw an article on the web from a Minnesota canoe club. I believe it was a rather large club with members throughout the state, and in other states. The posted article mentioned that they had forms for strip building canoes, and molds (plugs) for fiberglass construction, which could be borrowed from the club, for, basically the price of shipping.
Now that I have remembered all that, here is the bad news: I can't remember what net site this was on, and I have not been able to find it again, despite searching for it.
Sorry I can't help you more. Maybe you will have better luck with this search han I did. Perhaps if you can find a directory of Minnesota canoe clubs you might start looking from that point.
