With regard to using an 'infeed' and/or an 'outfeed' I would like to know which one is the more necessary. I have only the tablesaw, and one old desk that has been reassigned to kayak duty. With a 2x4 and a piece of 1/2" on top, the desk is the same height as the tablesaw and I could use it either on the 'in' or the 'out' side. Which would be of more use? I will use a 6 ft. fence and I assume that it should be set up so that an equal length sticks out from both sides of the saw...? I will be cutting boards of about six feet in length.
