What I did was plot the forms in Excel (though I later switched to Quattro Pro when I got a new computer) and copied the XY scatter graph to the clipboard. I then pasted that into Corel Draw. Since the grid lines of the graph came too, it was easy to use the rulers in Corel Draw to resize the plotted curve to exactly the right scale. If the graph had a 1" grid, I made sure that the 1" grid lines matched the 1" lines on the rulers. By zooming in, I could easily get to within a 64th" or smaller over the width of the 1/2 form.
