Indeed. I also find the Inuit paddle easier on my muscles after a few hours of paddling.There was an article in MASK(http.seacanoe.org) some time back on making an Inuit paddle from a spruce 2x4.I made a 92 inch paddle weighing 26 ounces.It is my choice for long trips.I also find it easier to roll with this paddle.Price of 2x4 was$1.85,and 4 hours of time to make.A fun project.
