It doesn't work for everything, but if you need some thin foam for under the deck to cushion your knees, a mouse pad has been working well for me. Mine has a cloth top which stays wet, but you can probably find some pads without the cloth. There are many places on the interenet that will send you free mouse pads just for answering a questionaire, and computer trade shows give them away as well.
