I've built this boat as well as its little sister the Venture 14. The boat was designed by Steve Killing who also has designed the Canadian entry for the America's Cup regatta. I mention this because not only does the kayak look nice it also paddles beautifully. It has all the engineering you and I will never underdstand. Tracks well with no rudder. I've probably got about 500 hours paddling this thing and love it as much today as when I built it. This past summer I was in the Adirondacks with a group and we switched kayaks to see how each paddled (mostly plastics) nobody wanted to give mine up it paddled so nicely. This is the kayak that Ted Moores teaches you to build at the WoodenBoat school in Maine and elsewhere. (I highly recommend it). I've got a picture of the Endeavour 17 digitized and I can e-mail it to if you like. I don't know how to do it thru this bulletin board. Enjoy.
