I saw this nesting dingy in the latest issue of WoodenBoat magazine and if you look closely you can that the sheer has a leather trim, so why not a kayak or canoe.
I the forward section there is a folding sailing dingy, looks like a FoldBoat on steroids, with a leather skin. Looks like it was originally built about 1900s
I know there are waterproofers for leather, having sprayed some on my shoes. I know mink oil would work, it just might require a lot.
This folding boat thing is really starting to bug me. So when I get back from Toronto I think I'll hit the Home Depot get some polytarp and make a prototype.
Probably get the dumb thing built before the tri!
Know any good resources? book?
