Thanks to all that replied. I'm really getting to like how it handles in calm water. I'm still hesitant on adding a rudder, but I know *I* need one for windy conditions. I just hate to whack off the stern, but I think I can fix it so it doesn't look bad. I'll call around to some manufacutures and describe the stern shape and see what type of mount they recommend.
