I haven't built a boat before, but am planning to build a stitch and glue kayak from plans that I have bought. I have read and re read The Kayak Shop, and the instructions that came with the plans.

I am wondering, however, if there are any common pitfalls that people often make when building a boat. What should I look out for, what will I find hard.

Thanks in advance for your tips, warnings and advice.
