I built a CC 18, and it is a bigger boat than I need. If you are going to buy plans, I would consider the Cheseapeak(sp?), which I think is an improved version with (needed) additional bow volume. I put a rudder on mine and use it frequently, but that may be more a reflection on me than the design.
