Being kind of a cheap skate, I'm thinking of just using the book plans and reducing down the bottom hull panel offsets by about 1" and then reducing the side panels proportionally. Is the addition bow volume needed for foot and leg room and could that be accomplished by increasing the bow deck height via smaller radius on the deck beam?

Wisdom may still prevail and I might breakdown and buy plans for the appropriately sized Cheseapeak.
