I don't know. It would put the boat out of trim, with the stern squatting down some, which would affect the handling. Since the boat wants to turn upwind now, maybe this would be a good thing. Since I already sit against the back of the coaming I can't do much with my weight, but maybe I'll try putting more gear behind the seat next time. I'll have to wait until the water softens some to try.
