Thanks for the info. I think I’ll give the poplar a try, it seems like I learn the most from my mistakes. About the only thing I’ll have to loose is time. I have a friend that cuts pulp wood and has a small saw mill and he owes me a favor.
I never thought about the barkless beaver wood, they do rot much slower. I knew that debarking a log lets it dry much faster but I guess I never put the two together.
