I have been working on the deck of my Panache for so long now that I havn't really given the Hull more than a passing glance. As I was wetting out the seam tape at the sheer line I was supprised to see how cloudy looking the Hull is compared to the deck. I tried wiping with acetone thinking that might help but no luck.I have used WEST SYSTEM 105 and a combination of 205 + 206 hardner. The 205 was what I used for the hull with 206 for some of the top coats on the hull and 206 only for all of the deck. I'm wondering why the diference in appearence and hoping the varnish treatment later will bring them closer in appearence to each other. I'm also having a bit of a problem finding the varnish so the nect step I cant believe that the place were i have bought my west system resin say they dont have the varnish thats compatable for the west system epoxies and figured I would need a 2 part varnish. And a different supplier sold me a varnish a couple months ago that i tested on a scrap piece that didn't dry and gummed up p when sanded which i had to ask for my money back. Why Is this such a mystery?Any ideas on the above or sugestions on a choice for varnish would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.
