> It sound like air trapped in the resin on your hull. The 207 hardner is best suited for strip building (clearest). It is easy to wind up with a cloudy look if you "work" the resin to much during layup. As far as the varnish is concerned , most will be conpatible if the epoxy is full cured, the amine blush removed and you do light sanding. I have used Epiphanes, Pettit, Captains and others and have had no problems. I have used Epiphanes for 15 plus years and it seems to be the most durable of the ones that I have tried. Good luck!
