Howdy all, I started building 3 new paddles last night. I laid up the shafts with fir/spruce/redwood, and fir/cedar/redwood. I also used epoxy for the lamination, after I learned that yellow glue is less than adequate for paddle shaft laminations! I took some pictures this time, so I'll post them when I get the film developed.

I'll put solid fiberglass blades on one, fiberglass-covered structural foam on another (the ones I made about 2 months ago), and maybe stripped blades on the third.

Dang, it's good to be building again!
