Great Idea!!! I was trying to figure out how I could mount an under-deck bag in my boat without using screws, etc. in the deck, and I didn't want to mount to the sheer clamps, because the bag would hang too low.
Do you have flush-hatches mounted with the nylon loops?
On a related note: I epoxied in some vinyl-covered aircraft cable into two small holes in the front of my deckbeam for an attachment point for a cable lock.
