Peter, You have responses from some of most knowledgeable people on this bbs. So I can only say from my very limited experience that Z-Spars Flagship varnish is MUCH more difficult to apply than their Captains varnish. I applied 5 coats(unthinned) with no runs or sags at all on my Coho with Captains. The Flagship on my Wee Lassie was a nightmare and required thinning for most coats. Flagship offers more UV protection but for my experience level the Captains is a whole lot easier to work with. BTW/ I wet sand between coats with a hose running on the surface.
