Some kayak plans, John Winters' for example include the deck profile on each station mould. By this I mean you strip the hull and then instead of removing each form, you cut a concave section out of each station mould and build the deck upside down (inside-up). The disadvantage of this is obviously new station moulds for each boat, unless off course you build a bunch of hulls first then cut the forms and build an equal number of hulls. The advantage is that the setup doesnt change, no errors can be introduced by putting different moulds in different places on the strongback. I built a separate set of deck moulds for mine, I just permanently attached my cleats on the strongback to maintain a consistant spacing. Although really, how far can you be off if you are at all careful.
