I have read both manuals and poured over the manuals, i spent a week doing this before I got started. I too do not want to waste my money and I am willing to take my time. It just doesn't make sense to have so many documents to refer to when there is no list or other document to help you to piece things together and know where to look.

I will probably consider buying Chris's book. If I need it then just charge me more and include it with the plans. 4 sources/references does not make sense. If other people have the same concerns maybe taking a moment to retool the plans would be time well spent. I think that a checklist a few pages long that outlines each step would be excellent, it could include page numbers for you to refer to in the other manuals for more detailed info and it would tie everything together.

I took on this project to slow down and enjoy the journey, I just wish I understood my map.

P.S. My original post in this thread was a little too negative, I was frustrated. I hope that someone at CLC will take this as constructive criticism. If they don't, maybe I'll write more own checklist amd offer it through email for free.
