Chesapeake coaming installation

Hello all, In the next day or two I'll be installing the coaming on my CLC Chesapeake 17. I've seen some advice on this before on the BBS but am unable to find it searching (both active and archive) on "coaming".

At any rate, what advice do those of you with CLC type coaming experience have to share before I dive in?
