Actually, it might not work that badly. Tour all season, and then build boats in the off-season. While you're touring, you'd be able to keep an eye on all the boats. (I think I'd shy away from renting really nice boats) You wouldn't be able to take any "vacations" during tour season. Tour operators pretty much have to run full trips during the entire season to have enough money to tide them over during the off-season, but being able to sell a few boats would also help keep food on the table. I doubt you could get rich doing this, but if it was a life you really wanted, you could probably make it work. (You would have to be stationed as to give tours in "desirable areas" such as Vancouver, Seattle, San Diego/Baja, or possibly the Northeast Coast)

Then again, maybe I've been sitting in front of a bright computer screen too long! Shawn
