Thanks to Pete, Guy and Lee for their responses. I'm feeling a lot better about my decision to add a few extra frames and beams, but I'm also glad to see that there really isn't a serious or chronic problem with CLC decks. With their new options on weights --- expedition and racing, in addition to standard configurations --- I'm confident that their boats can be built to fit the paddler's needs.
