I see you've only showed us the 'before' shot -- how does the 'after' shot look? Just kidding. I know exactly what you went through -- this weekend I lowered my just-completed Pygmy Arctic tern out of my 2nd floor apartment with no mishaps, took it for a test paddle (passed with flying colors), and hoisted it back up afterward. I only have a carport, and I don't trust some of the locals to leave it alone if I were to string it up to the rafters next to my canoe. So it will be staying in the living room when not in use.
