You're right about the first part...I bought the CLC Chesapeake plans and have built it from scratch...almost ready for varnish and it's been a very satisfying experience to say the least. I've had virtually no difficulty lofting, cutting and fitting the panels for the boat.
Perhaps I just need to re-read the instructions in Nick's book another half-dozen times...I'm just not finding the tables that "intuitive" (to say the least).
