If I'm understanding you that the strips are not tight BETWEEN forms, I used electrical tape to pull them together (you can stretch it nice and tight).. For me this was only an occasional problem and mostly went away after the first 5 or 6 rows. I used cove and bead and put a cut-off piece of bead in the cove to protect it where I wrapped the tape.
