I've got a good gouge in the gel coat of my kayak and the glass weave is visiable. There is no damage to the glass, only cosmetic damage. Any suggestions on how clear up this ugly gouge and return it to the smooth black hull it was before? I'm new to this kind of repair and don't know really what gel coat really is. Some clarification on this would be a great help too.
