I know there are concerns of stress risers with plywood bulkheads, but plywood bulkheads are a good structural support, especially behind the cockpit where a lot of weight loaded for regular entries and wet re-entries. I vaguely remember awhile back someone suggested using plywood bulkheads, but leaving them about 1/2"-1" above the bottom of the boat and sealing the space with a single thickness of glass tape. The weave of the tape would be filled to make the bulkhead watertight, but would be a lot more flexible than a complete solid bulkhead. Thoughts anyone?
