David- On my osprey std. I used 3/4" filament packing tape and found that the 6" strips that the instructions called for didn't stick to the boat very well. So, I just took the roll of tape and went around the entire hull and deck a couple of times so that the tape could stick to itself. I also added a few wires here and there to get the deck in alignment to start with. Hope this helps, Jay
