Thoughts anyone?

Here is an alterative. Get a piece of formica laminate to use as a flat waxable surface. Then lay up a Piece of 4 or 6 Oz. cloth filling the weave. After the epoxy has cured you can remove the piece of clear fiberglass. Next use a form from the location you want the bulkhead to be as template. Cut the glass to the shape and use fiberglass tape to install it. If you use "light glass (4 or 6 oz. it should be flexible, also if you really hit some thing hard it should fracture or break out. Which is better than stressing the hull. An additional benefit in being clear you would get a bit of light from the cockpit area. If you wanted to you could fit them in a little wide to make them curve for behind the cockpit to match the radius. I havn't tried this yet however I did see it in some other kayaks and it looked nice. This is what I intend to do with mine when I get there. I will let you know the results.
