There was a message on the Wooden Boat BBS a while back from a manager of a Florida yacht builder. His company had been sold on a new 2-part urethane hull paint but was not given proper health and safety advice. Working in summertime, with T-shirts, shorts and no respirators, his whole crew wound up in the hospital. Some stayed as long as 2 weeks. True, their exposure was both acute and chronic, but let's all learn the lesson. The solvents in these materials are very dangerous. Unless you have solid advice and all the right safety equipment, let somebody else be the statistic.
