Paul - try Louis Rondeau at Nomad Kayaks (nomad@clic.net). They use "H" type extrusions on the shear strake to join dk and hull for their excellent kits. The core is hollow and a great place to run the rudder wires. One thing though - its TOUGH stuff!! You will have to remove material from the inside of any type of radius, like in the bow or stern to get it to bend - even with heat! Try their site at http://www.qbc.clic.net/~nomad/ good luck! Alex
