When glassing the deck, I glassed both sides of the deck before cutting out the hole for the cockpit. Yes I know this wrong but how should i now glass the coaming to get the best result? will this approach weaken the coaming in some way? I think I'll be making flush hatches as those in Nicks book. What has to be done to the edges of the hatches is it just to sand them and put some epoxy on or should there be glass there to? What is the best location for the hatches as those descibed in the book? What type of gasket is best to use to these hatches? Thanks Mikael
