I've never been able to get around the "orange peel" effect you get when you use a roller. It's not a huge problem because you can sand it all smooth anyway. As for the bubbles, that's normal too--it's what those foam rollers do best. The general recommendation is to foam brush to tip off the surface immediately after rolling on the epoxy, or use a hair-dryer or hot air gun lightly over the surface.

I just put my 1st filler coat on my Guillimot deck this morning (after using a squeegie to wet-out the cloth last night). Sure enough, orange peel. Oh well, that's what the sander's for.
