Brightside vs. Interthane Plus

Howdy! I'm getting ready to finish a Ches 17 and a Ches 18. On the woodkayak.com site the reviewer says that they got poor results using the Interlux Brightside paint and therefore opted for the 2 part Interthane Plus paint.

Any suggestions regarding which paint to use? TIA - John
