Bernie, Just FYI in case you're building a Guillemot: Last night I checked the fit of my seat mold into the Guillemot after cutting out the cockpit opening. I used the exact shape described in the book for the cockpit opening and the seat mold fit fine. If the new Dagger seat is the same as what I have, then I recommend not installing cheek plates, but instead use small hardwood blocks glued under the rim of the cockpit. With two bolt holes in each side "wing" of the seat and two matching holes in the hardwood blocks, you can anchor the seat very tightly. You can also make slots in either the seat or the blocks to make the seat slightly adjustable. Hope that helps.
