This question is specifically about the technique that Nick describes in his book: When taping the hatch cutout back in place in preparation for making the glass ledge, do you somehow seal the crack between the hatch cover and the opening to prevent the epoxy from leaking in? I plan to use graphite to color the epoxy, and I didn't want it filling the crack and being visible on the outside. Is this just a matter of being careful not to apply too much epoxy, or should the crack be masked somehow? Thanks!
