Inside fill coats required?

I've just glassed the inside of the hull on my Guillemot. In the interest of saving weight (and time) I want to use the least amount of epoxy necessary. After the initial cloth wet-out, is it necessary to apply any additional coats? Will the wet-out coat be enough to waterproof the wood?
