I have to second that, I used the sheet-rock screws where the staples wouldn't do it, and they are pretty ugly. When I got to the deck I started using a "c" shaped piece of plywood with sandpaper glued to it, I clamped that to the form with 1/4" clearence out and above the strip. Then I used wedges to push the strip down onto the last strip and into the form. That worked very well where I had room to clamp the "c" block.
