I didn't even try to make the flat part of the strip correspond to the outside surface of that sharp curve. I planed each sheer strip so that they merged with the side of the centerline strip, but I didn't try to twist the strip at the end. Later, I shaped the strip to form the correct curve. What is left on the inside isn't curved, but you can just use filler there where no one will see.
