When I called CLC to ask basically the same question, they directed me toward their "North Bay." Supposedly not quite the absolute top speed of the Pautauxent line, but better overall handling characteristics...

In one of their catalogs (and maybe on their website), CLC does a nice comparison of their various models and how they rank in various categories of handling, speed, etc.
