> -Chris- that's a pretty open question-plans,free,13-15ft.,have all materials, If you are wanting to build a kevlar/glass/resin composite then you need a mold, vacuum bag set-up,etc. If you are talking about a wood(strip?ply?)/kevlar/glass composite then your in the right neighborhood here. How much do you weigh/height? The cost of plans is pretty small compared to the gloves, new pants, shirt(for the old ones solidified by epoxy). Besides a good design worth all that effort just might be worth paying for. Karma and all that. The only 13ft.stitch and glue boat I can think of is designed by Pygmy, appropriate for a 100lb.person. I built one for my daughter and like it so much I'm thinking it would be great to build another one but make the top panel another inch taller so I could use it as a play boat. That extra freeboard would make it worth considering for a 125#person plus 30lbs? check with Pygmy. All your free materials (except epoxy) is a small part of the equation. If you need to buy 4mm plywood then you really should consider a kit.
If you truly are considering vacuum bagging and mold building then make a few extra while you're at it. I think there's a whole mess of backyard whitewater kayakers out there that could steer you right. There's an excellent book on the topic-forgot the name-. have fun,
