This may be a little off topic but I think finding the time in this hectic world is an issue we all face in building boats.

Don't get me wrong, when it's a choice between family and the boat I'll spend time with my familly anytime. I'm not about to get divorced over this.

We all make conscious trade-offs in our lives in order to achieve ballance. I work in the computer industry where 60-70hr work weeks are common and I travel out of the country 5-10 times a year. The challange is how to balance

1. Family 2. Marriage 3. Friends 4. Work 5. Hobbies (boat building, gardening) 6. Health (tennis, running) 7. Intellectual persuits (books, movies, classes)

I started this project last July. I'm sure I could have finished it much sooner but something has to give. I gave up working out 4 days a week so my new plan to shave weight from the boat when I'm done is to shave wieght off of me!

All of this is just to say that agree with George that to make this work you need a conscous time management plan and make sure to take time invest in those you love.
