Go to an art supply store, buy some thin rice paper and attach a piece of it to a normal 8.5x11 sheet of paper and print the number using your favorite printer. Cut out the rectangle around the numbers, wet an area on your boat with epoxy, place the rice paper on, epoxy over it, and put a strip of glass over that and wet it out. The rice paper will go virtually transparent, and the glass will keep it from being scratched off.
