I glued my coaming together in the standard fashion, except that I put Saranwrap between the deck and the ring. After it cured I lifted it off and rounded the inside of the lip over with a fillet of thickened epoxy. Then I ground that smooth with a rotary tool. Tonight I am going to smooth the inside surface and paint the whole ring the same color as my hull. (I'm not fond of the plys showing on the inside and the edges.) I'm not a terrific painter and this way I am guaranteed a nice straight line where the paint ends. I'm hoping that this innovation turns out better than scarfing the deck panels did.
