I have been very happy with MAS. It is low viscosity so it wets out the cloth and penetrates the wood well. It is slightly yellow to amber in color (the hardener has the color which darkens with age before mixing). Colorwise, it is probably not much different from West. I have a container of System 3 Clear Coat haning around which is at least 4 years old and it is still perfectly clear, however, I am not as happy with System 3 for other reasons. I have one boat which is seriously clouded which I made with System 3. I have had no problems with MAS clouding.
